Octoberfest

Cannon has developed a great personality and we have so much fun being kids again with him everyday. He is the funniest guy we know! We have started a toddler Art class where Cannon creates about three art projects each class. He loves painting and also likes to play with glue (not eat it). :) Our fridge is already full of colorful artwork! He loves to paint so much that we also have a few painting sessions in the kitchen each week as well.
Playing with Thomas the Train ranks pretty high on Cannon's to-do list everyday. He likes setting up the wooden train tracks. He also likes to sing with us and play hide and seek. His attention span for reading is never ending...he will sit on your lap and read books all day if you will let him. In the mornings Cannon usually wants to go for a stroll through the neighborhood. Like I said, he keeps us all very busy.
We look forward to taking him to get pumpkins next week. He is excited to dress up for Halloween. We have a few costume ideas but we will keep them a surprise!

Trip to Traverse City...

While Dad was working in Minneapolis Cannon went to Traverse City, MI with Momma. We stayed at Nana's house and played at the beach everyday. Cannon and his cousin Owen explored an elaborate sand castle with motes and bridges that they found at the beach on East Bay. Cannon also loved the playground there...he can't stop talking about the Monkey Bars. We ate Don's Drive In (mmmm) and fed the baby ducks too.

The latest development for Cannon is his desire to re-cap everything he did the day before or in the recent past. He has a great memory and pretty good sense of humor. What else could I ask for in a little man? His vocabulary is great so he is just working on adding new phrases to his repertoire. His favorite books right now are 'Green Eggs and Ham', 'Harold and the Purple Crayon', 'Oh the Places You'll Go', 'The Little Engine that Could', 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and 'Harry the Dirty Dog'.

The other day a woman asked him how old he was- he ran away, distracted by a pair of glasses that he wanted to try on. Then he turned around and yelled "I am THREE!!!"

My future is so bright..... I gotta wear shades!

We feel no need to talk about what Cannon has been up to in the last month or so. He has gone from baby to kid before our eyes. I will let the photos speak for themselves. We have had some rough weather. We are ready for the sun. Hope to see everyone soon.

Have a fun Summer!

It has been a long month!

Hi Friends and Family!

I just returned from a week long vacation at my 'Nana's house in Traverse City. I had so much fun with her. We played outside everyday and I learned my colors and also learned to tell my momma "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"

It is great to be back home now that the weather is getting warm. I love going to the park and playing soccer with my mom. Whenever I am with my dad we pretty much laugh and chase each other around until I beg to go to bed. I am talking in sentences all the time now and am utilizing this new skill to assert my wishes-usually in a polite manner:)

Mom and Dad are planning to take me to a Cubs game very soon and we can't wait to play at the lake! Enjoy my latest photos....

We are back!

Hi Everyone!

Just when you thought we gave up...we are back at it:) My old laptop was full of a million photos of my cute kid and it basically died. I am having better luck with my new computer-so no more excuses for the lack of blogging.
Cannon is still doing great. He is talking all day long and has an impressive vocabulary. He has a good ear and can repeat pretty much any words that he hears (which is good and bad).
Tom and I have been pretty busy in the last few months. I think we are all ready for warm weather. Cannon loves to run around outside and play hide and seek. A few things Cannon has been working on lately are the Alphabet and identifying each letter, counting, eating at the table with a fork and spoon, jumping and helping mom clean up messes.
The latest words and phrases that Cannon can say (does not necessarily know the meaning of) are: "CONSTITUTION", "ENCYCLOPEDIA", "COMPUTER", "SUBARU", "LASAGNE", "HOT DIGGITY-DOG", "COME DOWNSTAIRS!", "HERE I COME" and "SHAKE THE BOOTY". He is a funny little man and he surprises us everyday with new tricks and words.
Mom and Dad have quite a few trips planned for the Spring so Cannon gets to head up to Traverse City to visit Nana. We can't wait to spend time at the lake this Summer with Grand-mom and Grandpa Crowe!

We hope everyone is doing well...Happy Spring! Love, The Crowes
