December is here...

It has been a while since my last post because I have been busy! I have accomplished so much in the last month or so. I am walking pretty fast now and love to dance. Repeating whatever mom and dad say is my favorite....this is endless fun. A few of my favorite things are trucks, hugging my stuffed animal friends, kicking soccer balls, trying new vocabulary, diving into piles of pillows, looking at books, playing hide and seek, eating broccoli (seriously), and brushing my teeth.

I am now a vegan (not by choice) after finding out I have a few food allergies. Bummer. I know. I should get over this by the time I am 3 years old. In the meantime, I am loving veggies, fruit, bread and a variety of soy concoctions. I can still eat meat but I find it to taste horrible so...I spit it out (in a dramatic fashion of course).

Looking forward to the Holidays. I will be traveling to Chicago and to Traverse City to make my family rounds. I can't wait to see everyone. It is going to be tough riding in the car so much but I think I will make out like a bandit! Check out my newest photos- we finally have some with all three of us in them:)

Happy Holidays!!!

(p.s. I know this whole blog thing is cheesy...I am just going with it)

Fall, Pumpkins, etc...

Cannon is almost 15 months old now! He is just beginning to walk with 5-6 steps here and there. After making it through a tough few weeks of teething (molars), colds, and a stomach flu...we decided to take him to get Pumkins today:

Gene the Pumpkin Man has a great spot that is perfect for mom to go crazy with the camera:)

My Grandmom brought this nifty Pumpkin cap for effect:) My Great Nana and Great Papa came to town from Chicago to see me. We had fun finding the best Pumpkins, going for a wagon ride, checking out tractors and of course I posed for a few photos. Later we went for dinner and had a HUGE banana split for dessert...it was a good day!

My favorite things to do right now include but are not limited to: popping bubbles, splashing momma and dada from the tub, pointing to and naming eyes/nose/ears/mouth, playing my drum, dancing to Prince, eating cheese, looking at animal books, closing doors, and hugging pooh bear. New words I say are....'water', 'horse', 'book', 'baby', 'door', 'motorcycle', 'pooh bear', 'hat', 'bird', 'car', and 'window'.

I am quitting bottles cold turkey starting today. Wish mom and dad luck because I might give them a bit of a fight on this one:)

Look for my Halloween photos in the next week. I will be looking studly in my Elvis suit....Happy Halloween everyone!

Cannon's Trip to Orlando!

Our first family trip was a success. Cannon was such a good boy on his first airplane ride - we could not believe how calm he
was!

Tom and I were at Surf Expo during the day on Friday and on Saturday I stayed with Cannon at the pool all day. On Sunday we
went with our friends Emmet, Nikki and their daughter Ruby to Disney World. It was very hot and humid but we held out as
long as we could. Cannon and Ruby met Mickey in his house at Toontown. Cannon got a little too excited and grabbed
Mickey's nose we had to pry him off:) He loved meeting Mickey and the 'Small World' ride but fell asleep in his stroller after
that.

We returned home today and Cannon smiled as we pulled into the driveway...I think he missed Tucker and all of his new
toys!

Tom and I look forward to traveling with our little guy in future...he is a natural.

Starting my Second year of life...with a blog!

Cannon has survived the first year! I have decided to start a blog for him so that everyone can watch him grow up. He has been the most exciting thing in our lives and we feel so lucky to have this little guy around!

He is now 32 inches tall and 23 lbs. Although he is on the verge of walking, he still prefers his fast crab-like crawl to get around. He is still staying at home with me most days and plays with his new sitter when I am working.

Tom and I are taking him to Orlando with us this week for Surf Expo. He will have his first airplane experience and a trip to Disney World. we should have some great photos from this adventure coming soon!

I will try to update and post the latest and greatest photos of him. I am new on the blogging scene so wish me luck!
